Senior Treasury Analyst

EAG is starting the search for a Treasury Analyst to join our team.

The Treasury Analyst will manage daily cash transactions for EAG's accounting outsourcing clients. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with a commitment to process adherence, controls, and continuous improvement.

Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner, and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily banking activity, maintain list of outstanding cash items and work closely with other departments to ensure cash items a recorded weekly.

  • Record JIB, revenue and miscellaneous deposits. Work with other departments to ensure proper classification of deposits.

  • Process voids and maintain void tracker in Monday.com. Maintain stale dating checks process.

  • Prepare weekly check registers, reconcile to AP aging and obtain required approvals for payment processing.

  • Generate NACHA, Positive Pay and Check EDI files from ERP software. Upload files to bank and ensure client approves payment files at bank.

  • As requested, process wires directly in client’s bank.

  • Review daily positive pay match exceptions and decision items in bank. Escalate items of concern to management.

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations, proposing adjustments as needed.

  • Prepare journal entries and save supporting documentation in M-Files.

  • Process checks to be printed through Certichex. Print and mail physical checks.

  • Support monthly close schedules and ensure your tasks are marked complete

  • Adhere to EAG’s SOC Risk Control Matrix and SOX controls for public clients, ensuring timely completion of all required processes and approvals.

  • Manage assigned ticket queue in ConnectWise, ensuring timely communication and closure of tickets.

  • Maintain organized documentation in M-Files and Microsoft Teams.

  • Utilize applications including ERP systems, M-Files, PowerBI, ConnectWise, Monday.com, Excel and Microsoft Teams effectively.

  • Work with Lead/Manager to prioritize tasks and assist on projects.

  • Attend team and client meetings as required.

  • Hybrid, Onsite 3 days/week.

Experience, and Educational Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

  • BA or BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Upstream Oil and Gas is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. (I.E Pivot Tables, V LookUps, etc...)

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members.

  • Familiarity with PowerBI, M-Files, Monday.com, or similar project management and reporting tools.

Physical Requirements& Working Conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8 hours or more) in an office environment.

  • Communication Skills (Speech/Reading): Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to understand and deliver instructions in multiple formats, including written, verbal, diagram, and schedule forms.

  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.

  • Vision/Hearing Abilities: Capability to interpret a range of instructions presented in various formats (written, verbal, diagram, or schedule).

  • Must be based in Houston, Texas.
