EAG is starting the search for a Land Analyst, responsible for supporting Land Admin and Division Order functions, to join our Land team.

The overarching responsibility of this role is to ensure that the monthly processing needs of the clients are met. The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete the setup and maintenance of new and existing business associate’s record for Land related requests. Take 1099 setup into consideration, ensuring the needed information is captured for this yearly process to be completed successfully.
• Respond to owner questions (both Division Order and Lease related questions)
• Assist with Land payments (payment generation and check printing)
• Correspondence with owners via email or physical mail
• Generate and mail out Division Orders
• Participate in Land obligation calendar processing.
• Function as first point of contact for all incoming Land/Division Order tickets. Call or email the owner to gather details on their inquiry even if you are not sure you are able to see it to resolution.
• Review your assigned ticket queue in ConnectWise daily, ensuring you are communicating with the ticket requestor regularly, and completing and closing out tickets before they are due.
• Assist your Manager with projects, escheat, and other tasks as needed.
• Update tasks on the close calendar that are assigned to you as they are completed throughout the month. Do not wait until the end of the month to update the close calendar.

POSITION, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry in Division Orders, Lease Records, Land departments or similar role required.
• General understanding of title transfer documentation related to working, mineral, royalty, overriding royalty and revenue interest.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments including land, owner relations, accounting, and operations.
• Strong ability to learn new tools/technology quickly.
• Experience utilizing the following accounting software and tools a plus:
  • Quorum Land on Demand, Quorum Accounting on Demand, Quorum Enterprise/Quorum Land, Enertia, Bolo, W Energy, SAP, M-Files, or ConnectWise Manage
• Ability to be fast-paced, multi-task, shift duties and still meet deadlines.
• Exceptional research, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Perform work in an ethical manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

EAG offers a variety of flexible schedules and models which would be confirmed during the interview process.

The selected candidate must be Houston based and willing to work in person at the downtown office a minimum of 3 days/week.
