Support Analyst III

EAG is starting the search for a highly skilled oil and gas Service Desk Support Analyst III.

The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The IT Analyst is responsible for a variety of daily tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Work directly with customers on system and application support issues and service requests.
  • System support and application support highly focused on Oil and Gas applications/services.
  • Align service-delivery capacity to business demands, while managing customer expectations and striving to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining service status updates.
  • Order, process, configure, deploy, manage, and maintain equipment and inventory.
  • Use knowledge and judgment to diagnose issues and problems as they are reported into the Service Desk and resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Install and maintain hardware deployments.
  • Provide desktop and infrastructure support as needed.
  • Coordinate with carriers, service providers and vendors to correct issues.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Provide technical assistance during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain support and operational processes.
  • Configure and maintain management and monitoring systems.
  • Plan, execute and support office moves.
  • Maintain hardware inventory and asset management.
  • Support Oil and Gas field personnel including those on drilling rigs and remote production offices.

POSITION, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Houston Based, able to travel to remote locations occasionally.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an IT Support/Analyst role.
    • Ability to work among multiple clients of different sizes, with varying needs and priorities.
  • Basic to intermediate networking skills:
    • VLAN configuration.
    • Switch and router configuration.
    • Routing protocol configuration (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP.)
  • Proficient scripting/development skills in PowerShell and Visual Basic.
  • Proficient administration abilities in either Office 365, Azure, AWS and other cloud hosting services.
  • Windows Server 2012 or later.
  • Active Directory Services.
  • Monitoring and alerting system configuration and management.
  • Networking protocols and components (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Virtualization technologies including VMWare, HperV and VDI.
  • IT Security technologies (Defender, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy technical environment.
  • High attention towards detail.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

EAG offers a variety of flexible schedules and models which would be confirmed during the interview process.

The selected candidate will work in our downtown office on a hybrid schedule.
